Review

Directed by Neil Burger, and starring Bradley Cooper as Eddie Morra, Abbie Cornish as his girlfriend  (Lindy)and Robert De Niro as Carl Van Loon, Limitless is a thriller, mystery and sci-fi film, where a writer discovers a top-secret drug which bestows him with super human abilities, this drug allows him to use 100% of his brain. Eddie’s girlfriend breaks up with him due to the fact that he’s been through an emotional breakdown, and he has a deadline to finish his book. He’s ex-wife’s brother (he was and still is a drug dealer) offers him the top-secret drug: NZT. After Eddie takes it he starts to feel like he has super human abilities, Now on an NZT-fueled odyssey, everything Eddie's read, heard or seen is instantly organized and available to him. After taking the pill, he finishes his book, and enter in a total different life style. Eddie turns he’s life in the life that anyone wants to have. He quickly becomes rich, after finally publishing his book; he is proposed to work with a powerful businessman, Carl Van Loon. Eddie has everything to make is life perfect and achieve billions, but something comes in his way, brutal side effects compromise his meteoric rise .. But he sees no limits to achieve the end.
Increasingly we have the need to discover the power of the mind. This film shows us the ability to use 100% of the brain instead of the 20% (this is a myth) and use it without limits, giving us to see, know and learn a part that is unknown and use it for a vision, perception, understanding and effective control at all levels. This whole scenario is the result of a pill, making desperate addicts and all those who know of NZT and that without it they wouldn’t survive. Eddie ends up killing so to ensure their survival and total control of NZT.
It is enjoyable, fast-moving stuff on the whole, it’s a great film despite the fact that this is only a myth and in real life it doesn’t happened, it’s a film that explores that myth to the bottom. It is very well done, and you spend a good time watching it, it is worth it!
